nit sure if this is the correct section but here goes.
I've rolled a boiler for a 5" flue from 15mm copper. As expected the finished coil will not grip tight against the flue so won't be the best at conducting.
However while it's on the jig I made up it is easy me for take up the tension and solder it together here and there to keep it tight to the flue and between each coil.
Can anyone foresee a problem here re the contraction/ expansion cause stress fractures around the solder points or should it all expand/ contract uniformly?
