copper cylinder ideas

after weighting in my scrap copper today not wanting to dispose of 2 copper cylinders as I have a few ideas for them what have you guys done or seen done with them.

I was thinking a planter from one and maybe a outdoor hand basin near the bbq area and a lamp shade or candle holder with pretty pattern cut out of it

Cut them up, flatten them out and you'll have a handy bunch of copper sheet stock.

I have a couple of old cylinders hanging around as the price of scrap is rubbish at the moment so they have had a reprieve. I cut some pieces out of one as my daughter wanted to make a copper rose, what a pig it was to clean up the inside face, it was black and had to be polished off using a lot of pressure on my stainless wire wheel. I did dunk it in some descaling acid overnight and that did help a little bit.

The rose came out very good but I can't find a picture of it ?

The bottom end would make a nice polished bowl, i never thought of that, and I've got a cylinder in my scrap pile.

polished bowl or hand basin from the top and planter for the deck from the bottom thats one sorted, the other needs to be burnt it is covered in the green foam

The foam peels off in chunks, just attack it with a bread knife, or scraper.

You could end up like the Scotsman who appeared in Court, charged with illegal whisky production after receiving a visit from The Excise Man.
When asked by the Judge if he had anything to say before the Court retired to consider it's verdict, he replied "Yes, Your Honour, you may as well charge me with rape too."
