Im considering converting my sip 150 turbo mig to take a euro torch and was wondering whether anyone on here has done this before? i spotted these on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/UNIVERSAL-MIG...6:4|39:1|72:1688|240:1318|301:1|293:1|294:200 so assuming no one has anything bad to say about these thats that side of it sorted but what are my options on torch that will accept 0.6 and 0.8 mm tips? cheers guys

PS I think if your SIP is 8 years old them you probably have a better made machine than the more modern offerings

Sorry just realised I bought the same thing, euro torch (3m) and gas solenoid (plus a load of spares (liner, shroud and a load of tips) all from tecarc - first class service and support - nothing but praise from me for that seller
Cheers bchild, im weighing up my options as the moment and trying to decide whether to upgrade mine or to sell it and get something better, one question whats this about a gas solenoid, is this because the euro torches do not have a switch for the gas on the trigger or what?

If your welder has the gas valve in the torch assembly you will need an electrically operated gas solenoid valve if you convert to Euro - if you already have one inside the welder you won't - see my thread page 6 or 7 I think from memory
