The guys who designed the beams in my barn only knew Autosketch, and he kept the program along with the barn files on a USB stick which he gave me a copy of. The version of Autosketch dates from 1992 and the readme files talk about upgrading to windows 3.1
I need to send off drawings of the roof off to the Solar PV guy. Even though the barn is built like a battleship as it's made from reclaimed steel from a huge warehouse demolition, they still need to go through the formalities of confirming that the roof will take the weight of the panels etc. as part of the certification so we can get the FiT subsidy.
I could just create a new drawing but if I can convert the old plans then it should be easy.
I'm going to have a go at making Autosketch run on Win 10, I may need to fiddle with various compatibility modes, but even if I do get it running I'm not sure if it can export to anything else.
Has anybody converted ancient Autosketch SKD files to something more mainstream?
Cheers
Andy
