I recently bought a 30amp aga which is a similar thing to the everhot. With the intention of converting it to charge up on excess solar/wind and top up on cheap electric.... However, removing it was a nightmare. It's an interesting idea but I don't want the hassle of rebuilding. Live and learn!Well, thanks for your input chaps but summing it all up I don't think it's a goer.
I would be happy to stick up some solar panels and buy one of these:
Everhot
Everhot 60. A Cast Iron 60cm wide Electric Heat Storage Cooking Range. 2 Ovens and cast iron Hot & Simmer plates. Plugs into a 13 amp Socketwww.everhot.co.uk
But that would mean felling a few trees which sweep the property with midday shade, which ain't going tp happen!
