Continental engine parts

Yes it has four 1's. I should have taken a picture but had a customer arrive. It's a Cat hydrostatic forklift, left pedal for forward/reverse. Not sure on age as its not listed on id plate on the front, but has to be after 1969 as some information plates have a date of 1969 on them I believe. Not sure what engine it is as haven't really looked for identifying marks. Bought it cheap as it would only run at one speed and wouldn't rev.

they are on a continental engine as suggested before.

prestolite sold there dizzy side of the business which was called prestolite wire and no longer stock dizzy caps.

found a company called

they now run the parts for CAT, i'm having problems finding any plate on the forklift to speak to them about precise model i have. Similar to above a rocker pedal with fwd and rev.

sonny.pullen@impact-handling.com has said he will look into it for me from photos of forklift and dizzy cap but if anyone has a model no they can let him know he can check the archives for the part.


Have spoke to a CAT engineer too who has found the cap for me, just hunting down the rotor arm. (waiting on prices)

I don't know wich model my friend has no information on it, but this one is a manual with a clutch.

Ok managed to get the bits, distributor cap, rotor arm and leads. Got them hear:
