I'll keep it brief because I'm on 3G:
Landline goes faulty on Sunday. Contact my provider (EE). Get Irish bloke. Tests line, confirms fault and escalates to BT. He tells me it will be fixed by Wednesday midnight "or give me a call if it's not fixed".
Sods law it won't be and I'll end up speaking to a far away call center. I've looked at BT's website and they ask for a customer number to log a fault, but I have no number.
I'll take a photo of the pudding joint that I believe is causing the problem and post it here for a laugh!
