Cheaper than Sikaflex and works brilliantly. I use it for electrical back-boxes on high density blockwork. Quicker and cleaner than drill/plug/screw.

They're useful. I picked up around 3 once when Lidl had them, simply for the fact you can use the sausages & both cartridge sizes with them. Unscrew the end caps slightly, & theirs will accept the large cartridges, which a lot of guns won't.

exactly how and why I got them

Most of the polyurethane adhesives will do , at work we use ralathane sausages,
Evil stuff if you get it any where you don't want it,
I've used gun foam on site for years as a adhesive,
Wet the substrate, foam on both surfaces , press together then take it apart to lessen the expansion, your not going to pull it off without a crow bar,
Gun foam is a polyurethane based,

Why stick it to the wall if your using 2x2.
Nail/screw a plate top and bottom and stud it. Air movement behind is a plus too.

I have been sticking insulation and battens to walls, it's thinner than no nails so won't hold anything away from the surface, but will still fill gaps.

I've has a lot of success with this adhesive, holds well. Not bad on price.

Should have mentioned you will need to prime anything dusty, but I would imagine that applies to any such adhesive.
