They will be able to tell you if it matches viscosity etc, but unless they have the exact spec for additives etc from Shell then they wont be able to tell you that bit.
Diesel fuel here has 10% ethenol which eats everything.
How much will the test cost?
Would you buy an open tin of oil.Why bother sell it and get what u need if u don't trust it
If I want the engine to last yes, it is.Probably cost you 30-50 quid for an oil test, not worth it. They'll only be able to confirm viscosity and additives anyway, not that it's definately that Shell oil.
If there is 15ltrs of oil thats about 80quid so yes it is.
If it's bright, clean oil, does it matter that much?
