Got an oil condensing boiler.
Distillate output has to be fitted with a trap. I assume this is to stop flue gasses entering the drain system.
Anyway, I can't find guidence on where this trap should be fitted.
There will be a run of about 4m of 20mm pipe before the distillate enters the main drain pipe.
Do I have to fit the trap at the boiler, or can I fit it anywhere on the 20mm pipe?
I'm asking as there is very limited access for serviceability right next to the appliance but a couple of meters away, the trap could be much more accessible for service.
Thank you.
