Me too, if I use a 6mm then the screw becomes to tight to screw in, so I always use a 6.5I think i use 6.5mm and 6mm if it is like engineering type bricks 6mm seems tight

Brown plugs and x6 screws can get away with hammering In in place.tried the screws after all...6mm hole was ideal as per the box , my cordless drill/driver got em in ok , can always pinch them up with a ratchet , i was expecting them to need more grunt to get in than they did
saves alot of hassle being able to hold the part in place and drill /screw it in one go vs rawlplugs
I use concrete screws and the heavier bolt version and I love them so quick and easy. I put up a lot of different stuff in a 100+ year old building where I watched other lads storm out cursing cause the couldn get fixings into the walls . Still use through bolts for the heavier work but gates railings etc concrete screws are the job
