So my 1970s prefab is about to go back up.
Test fitting below -
It's a strange (to me) design, as the sections are held with clips, rather than bolts. The clips bolt on one side only and just kind of hold the parts together.
You'd have thought it was horribly unstable, but its lasted since 1971!
I'm wondering if, when I put it back together, I could use stainless coach screws, and somehow clip render mesh under them on the outer face, and slap some lime render over the lot?
The outer face is profiled / textured - it almost looks like a cloth texture close up -
I'm also thinking that, if I use long enough coach bolts, I could run them through battens on the inside, for an insulation cavity, rather than trying to glue battens onto the grime.
But my main query is about the render. It's pig ugly as it is, but it was on site, so free!
