Hi All,
I have finally got the chance to move to a lovely rural property with sufficient outbuildings for my projects and cars.
However, The only outbuilding that is able to be used for the cars is basically a hay barn (small one about 10 meters by 5.5) and has no floor, just earth. I am looking at being there a few years, but it is rented. (they are happy to let me work on/improve it).
To that end, i want to concrete the floor and put a two poster in. Would i be right in saying i would need 4" of 3500psi concrete over an inch of hard core for the ramp? Also to minimise the cost of concrete would 4" of concrete for the ramp and 2" over the rest be sufficient (it will at the most have light vehicles parked on it). I want to find a comprimise between the doing a proper job and doing it for as little cost as poss as its only a rental
.
Also should i use rebar?
And Finaly does anyone know a rough estimate of ready mix 3500psi per M3?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts/ advice.
