Hi all, first post here but thought I'd start with showing you my new compressor storage build me and a family friend have just finished building.
The compressor is a SIP 150L belt drive 13amp compressor. Firstly I built the shed 'extension' a couple years ago for me and dad to store random stuff in. Then as I got more interested in repair and spraying I decided last week to buy myself a nice new compressor.
So we set the compressor in place, made a base for it to bolt to then screwed the base to the decking floor and built a 'mini shed' around it:
The lid is hinged so I just lift it open and the front slots down routed slot then lifted out when using the compressor:
After he plumbed in the regulator (he did that, I'm not clued up on plumbing myself) and also the external socket we were pretty much done:
I'm going to be adding a 'bonnet catch' type design to padlock the lid down.
And behind closed doors:
But we did have one problem with the wiring in of the compressor but I'll post that in the relevant section.
