Compressor piston rings

I've scrounged a broken compressor, it needs rings. It has Juwel written on it, I've not looked for more info yet.

The problem is I need 50mm rings, two compression and one oil scraper. The cylinder has been taken off and has been measured. I can find 51mm rings for compressors and I can find 50mm rings for a Dolmar ICE.

I don't like the thought of taking 3.14159mm off the compressor rings and am inclined to buy the ICE rings. What reasons are there that they won't work properly? It's a cast iron cylinder if that make a difference.

It's probably not worth the time and effort but I want to show someone I can repair things and for the sake of a tenner I think it's worth it for that.

Makes sense most compressor pump units come from the far east these days, so why wouldn't the spares.

There is that, in their defence though they have come a long way in the delivery and communications departments. I don’t think anybody minds waiting as long as they are kept informed.

I quite like tracking updates from AliExpress it shows that progress is being made with the delivery. I’ve had one delivery in the last year that wasn’t from AliExpress, tracking for that showed that it had left customs but not reached the final uk delivery company, with that it took over six weeks for the sender to admit that it had been lost and process a refund.

I just hope that you get the correct goods.
I ordered some items and they sent the wrong size. I looked for a full refund, they only send a partial refund.
I'm now on the cycle of dealing with a live agent on customer services, they raise the issue to the specialist team who only communicate via an email you can't reply to!

Keep asking for a full refund , after declining two settlement offers for a fraction of what I paid they offered me one less the VAT , I said no and after a couple of months I was refunded the original £19 or so.

You can also complain direct to Temu or Ali if their replies are unsatisfactory ..

I've only had one item that didn't get delivered, I contacted the seller twice, asking when my item would be delivered. On the third time I involved and complained to AliExpress, having sent all messages via the web site, I quoted the invoice number and asked for a delivery date or refund, within 3 days I had an answer from AliExpress and the money back in the bank 2 days later.

The longest I've waited was just under 3 months, but the item came by road from China in the winter time, so not to bad really, I didn't fancy the £150.00+ flight freight costs...
