got a 3hp belt driven 50ltr compressor Air Force brand. I had to put a new mains lead on as the original was far too short to reach the sockets. Upon trying to remove original lead the screws head stripped, so I stripped the switch down replaced the screws and put it all back together and it doesn't work
So today I've put a brand new pressure switch on as I figured I had rebuilt the original wrong. Still nothing it briefly started on the old switch but nothing now. The tank is completely empty motor turns freely, no fuses popped or rcd tripped, nothing smell burnt
Anyone got any ideas got a job on requiring plasma cutter and this has decided to fail!

ill have a look for this overload switch on the motor tomorrow. 100% sure of wiring both ends but will double check. im assuming it doesnt matter which side motor or input wirring goes on the switch? as theres no indication ive also checked the socket its plugged into (16A) for operation. if no joy ill get some photos of the setup. im sure its something simple that im overlooking
