My trusty old ingersoll rand was fine when last used a couple of weeks ago , but the garage ( detatched ) electrics started tripping out the house rcd anyway after a bit of unpluging turned out to be the compressor . Now a cursory look put down to the hole in the capacitor

without doing any testing I must ad
so new capacitor acquired installed plug in and rcd tripped , now I have done a bit of testing and it's down to the motor so my questions are ( bear in mind my limited electrickery knowledge )
1) from the pic I presume this is a four pole motor

2) its a beast of motor and 1.1 kw running at 1440 rpm do I need one this large , it's not run all day every

I need to find out the dimesions for " foot mount B and the keyed shaft diameter though I'm pretty sure it's 24mm ish .
any help would be great fully recieved .
