Noticing how frequently the same questions are asked about which compressor to buy appear, I was going to write an FAQ on the subject to be used as a sticky.

Saved myself the work though, I just found quite a good site that does a good job of helping an air novice decide what compressor to buy.

    http://www.about-air-compressors.com/Buying.html

If admin consider it suitable, it could be good to use as a sticky in the Compressor section.

Could save alot of repeat threads appearing.

Seems like a good idea - I've also put a link in the links section.

Its always the FAD which confuses as manufacturers mainly quote the pump displacement.

^^ Do you know anyone who designs websites for air compressor suppliers?

    Nice one, Doc!

The original seems more a immediately readable summary.
And I doubt I would (or could, i reality!) have tracked that archive down!

    All the Best,

I've got a plugin installed in Google Chrome called "Wayback Machine" - if you visit a site that presents a "page not found" message, it automatically looks for an archived copy and offers to take you there.

Yeah, thanks - I'd heard of the Wayback Machine back in the dim and distant past, but never actually looked for it - too easily distracted, maybe!

But, of course, now I'm umm'ing and ahh'ing about it, because of the little pseudo-warning in the bottom left of the screen-shot.
I daresay I'll overcome the paranoia later on and just do it, anyway!

    All the Best,
    CJ

A bit meaningless without the screen-shot!

Thats because its a bigger number so make a mediocre machine look good. For example those small 14 cfm, 50 ltr jobbies are really only about 9 on Free air delivery.
