Competency cards

I know some cards use apps, such as IPAF...
Is there any apps of similar that allow linking of cards etc?

End up with a wallet full of various ones, NPORS, CSWIP and so on.
Be useful to have them all together, along with other training records for the odd occasion I get asked for them.

Anything with a CSCS logo on will already be held in the CSCS database. So depends which version of npors you have.
But they might get funny about the actual card not being on site if they are diligent enough to check them.
I found it easier to get a card wallet specifically for the cards and keep it in work bag or lunchbox or similar. Then it's always there

I dont know if its suitable, but City&Guilds automagically, and without asking permission, send pass details to a "Credly" account, which then emails the recipient to sign up. It appears to allow adding other training/certification providers. I have not heard of this thing before or since and no one in the industry has asked for it, infact I completely forgot about it until reading this thread.

Its no good having something like this if, the people inspecting your competency do not recognise/trust that service.

You just know you don't want the job - it gonna be awkward and it has been everywhere else first....

A good marker for if someone can actually to the job at hand - is how long they been trading. If they been doing it for a very long while - they can do it - because if they could'nt - they would have starved to death trying.

Competency cards have absolutely nothing to do with how good you are at a job. It is merely proof that you have either undergone enough training to absolve the employer of responsibility, or that your skills meet the absolute minimum standard to absolve the employer from responsibility.

They also may be a requirement for insurance or a pre requisite for getting/bidding a job/tender.
