Yes. That’s the one I’ve heard of. I’ve found several 4:1 brands which would be spot on for filling. Only need to spot spray the chips. The rest is fine. I’ll check the ingredients. The one I’ve used has been 2:1, the Lechlar one seems to be a popular choice on here. Check data sheet to make sure no iso but definitely wear a mask
Yes. It’s definitely got isocyanates in it. Contains Hexane-1, diisocyanate, homopolymer and isocyanate. I only bought it because I’d heard 1k flakes off too easily. Also because I had the severe haze finish with clear same as I did with my basecoat. I know now that the paint is not flowing out properly because I’m spraying at far too low an air pressure when trigger is pulled. I’d probably get a really nice finish with the 1k rfu now if I tried it at 30psi spraying pressure. It’s the same with spray cans because they are low pressure. My friend told me years ago that his dad taught him the way to build up paint really smoothly with spray cans. I now keep pulsing the trigger on and off over an area I’ve just sprayed. Watching the film build up until it’s nice and smooth. The finish ends up super smooth with a bit of orange peel like the finish you get with a gun.The hardener for 2k will more than likey contain isocyanates, not something you want to breath in or use without the appropriate ppe. Do you have a link for it?
