Hi Guys, thinking about getting a lighter 5m MIG torch for a project I have coming up, it's a 8x8x4m shed made from 2.5 to 3mm RHS and aiming to get a new but lighter torch for when climbing up on the shed frame to weld. On the last shed I built, I used a Tweco #4 and that is a heavy torch and a bit cumbersome and also tiring to use. Since I won't be using the capacity of that torch I have been pondering about getting a lighter genuine Abicor Binzel MB 24 AK Grip or a MB 24 Evo Pro, they are both about the same price or I can get the copies such as a North MB24 as an example for about $100 less, actually there are heaps of other copies too and most are about the $100 less.
So has anyone used the Abicor Binzel torches and have any thoughts comparing the two original torches and also vs the copies. I realise the copies probably going to be made cheaper but is there a noticeable difference or benefit to justify paying $100 more?
Cheers
