Not BAFE, FIA and no BS Kite mark.
I have no doubt it will do its job, but at 1/2kg with a 12 second discharge time I wonder it fire rating is. it is not listed.
There is no annual check on it, how do you know it will work, there is no way of knowing.
I would be questioning it a lot.

The unit is not BAFE, FIA or BS approved.
It does not comply to any UK Fire safety regulations.
For £50 you can buy approved units.
If I had £1 for every thing like that I would be a very rich man and I would buy every one here a pint.

Has anyone else watched the video, to me the co2 appears far more effective. was thinking about contacting West Midlands Fire Service with the link to ask if they can recommend the units.

CO2 is really for use on electrical fires.
Yes in an emergency can be used for other class of fires.
fire services, odd as it seams can not advice on fire safety they will give an opinion but should refer you to a fire safety company.
Made me wonder why as well. But through work we get a few request to go and advise.

They can and will advise, it's an obligation under the Fire Services Act, if the local station can't help, they'll refer you to the Fire Safety department.

The fire Brigade will advise you to have a smoke detectors, some will supply free battery ones, fire extinguishers and a fire alarm.
As to the quantity, location and type they can not advise.
They can provide training, at a cost to the customer, on use of a fire extinguishers and what to do in an emergency.
Fire safety office will advise what you need, based on a fire risk inspection being produced. Or what the design authority of the building has advised.
Being a Fire risk, Fire alarm, fire extinguisher fire safety engineer I meet this every day, (well I did until I was broken).
Most members of the fire service are not BAFE or FIA trained. There training is to save life and extinguish fires.
It comes as a shock when a fire officer adviser something and is over ruled by a qualified person.
I have seen Fire safety officers advise a 9lt water unit in a 27KVA plant room as there was a wooden covered access tunnel. No mentioned of a CO2.
Or a water and CO2 unit in a oil powered plant room.
Both time they refused to sign their own report as they would be liable.
A good fire safety inspection will take into account, risks escape routes, staff, doors carpets every aspect.
A good fire safty company will charge a fee, but will provide a good report on what you need.

You never can have to many of the correct extinguisher, but 1 wrong one is one too many.

The Fire service will also visit your workplace and give a demonstration on which extinguishers to use for what and how to use of them correctly, they will lay on demo's of how to extinguish pan fires and what happens if you do it wrong.
