Those red-heads are a good alternative. They need a smaller and shallower hole, and once set are pretty-much immovable. If they do start to slip you can just re-set them with a heavier hammer. You could also set them a few mm deeper than the spec says and use a slightly modified countersunk screw as a keeper to keep the crap out.

I install Allen-head plugs into the anchors to keep them clean of dirt and debris
