I think it is pretty much the same power unit on all of them, but don't quote me on it.
From personal experience the scissor ones will run from a plugtop and still managed to lift a ~1300kg car.

They do have a hell of an inrush current though, i tried mine on a 13a plug, but it would trip the 16a breaker so i ended up giving it a dedicated circuit with a 32a breaker, possibly over kill but i had a few 32a wall sockets!, also its another point to plug a welder in,
16a breaker with the proper curve would likely work too
Possibly if you have 4k to spend.The four post 'Glenfinnan' (plus mobility kit and full set of drip trays - all my old cars 'leave their mark!').
Circa £4k including Vat, delivery, installation and commissioning.
I reckon that's a pretty good deal.

And if a wire gets caught up which it can I’d rather it pulled out of the socket than socket off the wall or wires out of the plug!

the only time it isnt good is if its 30 amp and whatever you plug in is faulty . brown trousers and bicycle clips needed and watch the firework display

Pete beat me to it but the interlocking type are a massive PITA on site as just about everyone tries pulling the plug out before turning it off resulting in a ******** socket and/or wiring hanging out everywhere.

Commando sockets are not that easy to pull out & require decent access & 2 hands to remove. When I'm locking up at night it's much quicker & easier to reach in & knock off the isolator.
If there's nothing plugged into the socket the live terminals are not very well protected so it would be very easy for an enquiring mind to shove something in & get fried, an isolator will help to prevent this.
There's also an issue if the equipment doesn't have an on/off switch like my oil cooled Pickhill Bantam welder. If I'm making something sometimes there can be a 30 min gap between welds so I switch the welder off so its not using electricity. I would get fed up very quickly if I had to unplug the welder every time.

IIRC the isolator (or safety switch) has to be located within "easy reach" of the user.Commando socket now has a plug in it:

You should just be able to make it out in the red circle
Maybe your rules are not similar to ours ?
In the case of a lever operated, I think a hook tool is allowed, if it's stored nearby.
