That's what most of our customers are like.I'm having a comical Gumtree experience now; I'm selling an old Evolution Rage TCT mitre saw and some of the responses are comical - I even put one on screen for a class this morning to see if between us we could translate...

I know a very nice chap on this forum who managed to get a Triumph/Norton 650 and loads of other stuff into the back of a BMW 3 series convertible - and the roof was closed
A masterpiece in packing!
Check your Vin plate mate.I think you're thinking commercial. Fairly sure for a car there are no axle weights limits and it's just on the GVWL. Which means that the official payload limit was 657Kg (excluding driver). Which if I'm correct and they're 64Kg each should bring the total weight (including driver) to a smidge under 600Kg. Very close to the limit though and not advisable). Obviously there is the tyre load ratings but in a FWD car there is relatively little on the back so they should be fine (albeit still close).
I wouldn't have wanted to do it on the hatchback version though, the estate had extended heavy duty bump stops for this very kind of reason.
Please be really clear on two points:
1) These are old, well cut and creosote/tar/oil impregnated - make sure they are suitable for your planned project
2) Buyer collects at your cost. Total weight is around 2.5 tons (125KG per sleeper) - you will need a vehicle with a HIAB or two very willing people to carry them one at a time to whatever wagon you want to spirit them away on!
Check your Vin plate mate.
Will have front and rear axle weights
These add up to more than the max load weight to allow for uneven loads
Commercial or not doesn't come into it
Well, I'm just waiting for all the dumb questions around whether they can get these in the back of a Mondeo, despite the warnings:

I've explicitly said:
...but we'll see what kind of dumb responses I get...
Anyone else had this, you post an advert on Gumtree - within 15 mins get a reply asking is it still for sale. I reply, of course yes, and then get no further communication. So, automated reply from Gumtree to make me feel good or just some Dork who wants to waste my time?
If I get the boat over with my XC90 would you take a playstation and 50quid cash danite m8?
