Well a combination set isn't going to tell me the fractions of a mm yes but what I do want it to do is over the withstand a good few drops and when I pick it it up it must still be dead square/accurate. That was more At what I was getting at.I can see what you are saying when talking about high precision things like micrometers, But when it comes to a combination set, I'm not so sure

It is when I remember them at half that price. Yes we are talking ages ago and yes I know how these things increase in price over time and yes we get what we pay for. I know this. I was just shocked to see triple digits when I searched for them.
I dont think its that difficult to know what will and what won't be worth more or less than its sale price in 10-15 years.I have a pair of binoculars here that I paid about £ 800 for new in about 2003. Same pair today are £ 1700! Just over double, I could actually get back at least my purchase price for them today 13 years on. I bought the scooby same year it was over 20 k can't remember the exact figure - it's worth about a grand on the open market. Now if I get it back to top notch condition garage it up etc it will likely start to rise in value
How much? I don't know but I remember working on e- type jags as foreigners
Money and goods are funny things - if we had crystal balls we might have all the answers but unfortunately would likely spend all day staring at our balls!
Well you can't work out Exactly how much your going to get for your pride possessions because that depends on the day but good tools are sought after and the prices for the same items go up and up. It's not like televisions where new ones are
major updates deeming your old one worthless a spade is a spade and it was probably better 10 years ago. Your tools that you bought in 19.. Will be worth a lot more
than you originally paid and if you buy them
now they'll be worth more in ten years than you pay today because new ones will no doubt be twice as much again. Fishing gear is the same. I like the original Leeda blue
diamond rods and have 4 of them that I
bought in the 90's. Kept em mint and original. Paid less than 80 quid a piece for them. Would never part with them but if I did Id imagine id easily get my original investment
back. In another twenty years Id guess they
would be double that.
Exactly that. I ordered on line by ticking boxes and paying with long numbers which I don't usually do but it was free delivery £126 so I did it. Then I got an email this morning saying there usual apologises and the item is out of stock could be a couple weeks so I asked my money back and there was no problem. While I was been held up on site with drawings I had a browse. It was a ten minute diversion so I took a punt and it paid off.A sleeper eh? Good find! I think we have all been there at least once " stock issues " meaning I haven't any but wanted to be the cheapest and my mouth overshot my ability to get some
