Collective noun for spot welds

Old Bertrand must have been paid per spot weld on my DS. This is the door closing panel, and is spot welded to the folded sill.
Some are two or three welds, each overlapping. On the drivers side I used a plasma cutter.

The problem with welds that close is an effect called "shunting" where some of the weld current goes through the adjacent weld so reducing it's effectiveness, rule of thumb is to leave 2x diameter of tip between welds

After 40 years in engineering I can honestly say, if you get a bunch of engineers together, it will never be perfection!!!!
