Hi everyone today I've fixed a spot on my #3 tap wrench.
I've blued it a month or so ago.
The spots were it touches in the toolbox drawer rusted again.
Not only this one but also the bigger one .
I've scratched the rust away and reblued the spot.
Cleaned the excess acid and applied WD-40, wiped it after 10 minutes or so and applied silicon oil on the entire thing.
Now I'm using Philips cold blue, it's quite good in my experience, I don't use either the recommended cleaner or oils in the instructions (expensive)
I use brakes cleaner, and guns protective oils instead.
Now happened to have finished this oil and used WD-40 and silicon oil.
But what I should use to get a better result?
What I should use to prevent objects from drying out and develope rust again?
Thanks in advance
