Colchester Student Mk1 owners, I have a question regarding the cross slide screw keep, picture of what I’m working with attached.
I need to recreate this part, as they’re horrendously expensive from Colchester, and there’s nothing in my local getting spots either at the moment.
I’ve got most of the measurements, but where it attaches to the saddle I’m struggling with, as you can see it’s disintegrated on impact.
Length of the thinner part, thickness of the plate that attaches to the saddle, and the bolt hole spacings are what I’m looking for at the moment. With these I might just be able to cobble something together on one lathe of the other.
All help appreciated of course
