Colchester steadies etc?

Bought a job lot of lathe stuff. Was hoping I could maybe adapt the steadied to work on my fortis, but doesn't look likely.
If I can't, these will get sold. But what colchester are they off?
The travelling is on a keys at, does that mean it's triumph? If so, I guess the fixed is too. Will the center height tell me?
Also, I assume that's a colchester c spanner, although slightly cut down?
And a colchester what, catch plate?

Oh, and there are these. Not sire what the turret is off, or how it attaches. The other piece seems to be a backplate adapter but doesn't marry up with the L00? taper thing.

Looks like from a roundhead student. Possibly may be off a similar vintage Triumph, depends on the size.

I assume the center height will define which is which?
Seems to be 6.5" from bed way to center.
The traveling though, I've only seen one with that attachment being fitted to a triumph, on here. I don't have any cheater knowledge though.

The Student is 6" centre height and the Triumph 7" so probably from a Student but I no longer have mine to check. I could look on the Triumph 2000 tomorrow and measure them, if I remember

To be honest, I don't know what they are worth. Prices seem to vary wildly.
That's why I'm trying to pin down exactly what they are for.

I am still wondering if I could adapt the fixed steady but need to have a think on that. May be easier to make one from scratch.
Also feels a bit of a shame to cut these up.
They are currently in for a clean so I can check them over properly without getting covered in filth!

as long as the center is not too big there easy to make an adaptor to fit the bed i made one for mine

That will be the next thing I look at.
It's the same center height as mine, just needs locating front to back.

The traveling steady I think may be trickier. That depends on the saddle height too though.

As for what these are off, it seems they probably all fit students, masters, and triumphs. From what I've worked out, they are just either 6, or 6.5 center height and the traveling steadies very in how they fit. Seems the saddles with the t slots though we're available on all 3 models. I think.

So these should fit any roubdhead with 6.5" center height and slotted saddle.

Maybe early ones? The two I had were like the one in the photo below, and the one for a VS 2500 is similar mounting but normally dark grey as opposed to Poppadom Beige …

From what I've seen, all 3 models were available with t slot carriages.

The reason I first thought triumph was because someone on here had a triumph and found this t slot steady and showed pics of it fitted.

They're from a master with a 6.5" cantre height. Triumph gap bed has 2 tee bolts not 1, what's the diameter of the thread on the drive plate as that'll tell you what L series spindle it is.

I'll measure it later. I found a chart too that lists the sizes on the tapers.

I've been missing the obvious here, they aren't triumph as that's 7.5" center height.

It is known as a lantern toolpost.

L-type nut sizes below, which might help with identifying the spanner.
