would you believe that the person selling the cutter is the same person that sold that faulty tig in the link you just posted, and it looks like the postcode is still the wrong one in the ebay registered address ??

i remember checking up about there tig welders
and found them to be a rebranded chinese make if i remember right.
so i didnt bother.

I assumed they were Chinese at the price ( and the ad style) just wondered if their support was any good.

I can't complain about it, it gets used often and up to now has not been any bother at all

Hi,

I bought one from the bay, it arrived quickly by courier and then quickly died!

Lasted about 1/2 hr actual cutting time, I would guess.

Anyway, I phoned the seller (the one mentioned earlier) and he couldn't have been more helpful. "Have you checked your compressor is OK, is the metal rusty, got a good earth etc?"

He told me to stick it back in the box, next day the same courier turned up with a replacement and took away the faulty one.

I asked the bloke if he was seeing many of them getting collected for returns? (The box has got COBEL in big black text on the outside, so it's hard to miss) "Nah mate, this is the first one.....delivered plenty of them though"

This one's been fine! I use it most weekends, mainly for outline profile cutting of thin stainless sheet for sculptures, but on a couple of occasions for stuff that's WAY too thick for it, really! But it's been nearly 14 months now, and still going strong, so I'm happy with mine!
