I dont intened to be awkard, however I agreed with the people that sent me the schematics that I wouldnt dish them out, which was fair enough as they do repairs for a living.
I'm new to TIG Welding but have gained some experience at evening class.
I bought one of these Cobel TIG welders on ebay, a Cobel TIG 200A Pulsed Inverter TIG AC/DC Welder & Pedal to be exact.
The first time I connected it all up I used a disposable Argon bottle. A mistake since it lasted no time at all. however it seemed to work OK had HF starting spark and welding current. All ok for about 10 minutes until the gas ran out then the Ceramic cup melted! I then rented an Argon bottle from BOC on a Monthly contract. Connected it all up again as before but using the new bottle, when I operated the footswitch the solenoid clicked the gas flowed but no HF sparking and no current output at all this time.
I cant understand why it worked once and then not.
I've had the cover of and cant see anything amiss inside.
I've had an ohmeter on both the torch switch and the foot switch and see continuity on operating them.
I've just contacted the supplier DrummondTade and I'm waiting for them to call me back. Sound like the same people who sold one to the member who posted above.
Anybody got any useful advice on why it's not working, please?
