All small hobby regs. use the same thread, as do all the small disposable cylinders, their gas / mix content aside.Super daft question if I may...I just have a Clarke 130TE and it came with a little valve that you use with whatever disposable gas. Why are there not different types?

There may be some odd, small / intermediary size, where this doesn't hold true.
they are proper regs adjustable co2 bottles have a different fitting on the bottle u can get a adaptor if u wish to use a argon reg or vica versaThanks, so when you make the shift to bigger bottles why are the regulators different?
CO2 bottles have a male threadThanks, so when you make the shift to bigger bottles why are the regulators different?
Me too, no issues with .6 or pub gas, would qiuite happily weld two cars together with it- - if I had to. Crack on.I managed a heck of a lot of bodywork welding with pub gas and 0.6mm wire, and I’m no expert. If it’s all you have, you’ll make it work.
Argon/CO2 mix is much nicer, but I think the disposables run out even faster than the CO2 ones - I wouldn’t go there without a bigger bottle.
Hello, where did you buy that bottle ? Are they nationwide ? , Local shop wants £200 plus and £60 ish for refill,I spent 15 yrs welding cars with distillers Co2. Having just bought a bottle of argon co2 5% I have to say I wish I'd got some years ago. I've even been able to do half decent welds on cruddy old exhausts where the pitting was too deep to completely get rid of it. Far less splatter and blobs of molten metal burning into you. I'm converted. I managed to find a 9 ltr (same size as a pub/ distillers bottle) adams gas hobbyweld bottle including gas and one time bottle rental fee for £100 thanks to a forum member so shop around and see what you can find.

EditCO2 bottles have a male thread
On Argon and Argon / CO2 mix it's a female thread.
Annoying, but probably a BCGA / BS EN standard?
You'd have to come to Haverfordwest in Pembrokeshire. Guy with a garage. No idea where he gets it but it's legit.Hello, where did you buy that bottle ? Are they nationwide ? , Local shop wants £200 plus and £60 ish for refill,
