co2 adapter fitting

hi, I wish to run my clarke 160 tm on a 5 kg co2 fire extinguisher but it would appear that i need a male to female adapter fitting for the bottle,where could i get such a fitting? thanks in advance

C02 extinguisher

a good starting point if your making your own would be the fire extinguisher, connector pipe, it will have a female thread on the nut keep the nut and some pipe for starters, I think you have to use the cylinder upside down? - sorry if I`m wrong.
If you havent got the pipe, any local fire extinguisher service Est will help you out.

im afraid im in ireland, we dont have machine mart and the fire extinguisher supplier told me i was mad lol

ive kept the hose assy just in case but i was hoping for an off the shelf item if i could

Thinking about it your wanting to go the other way around I think. Does a co2 reg not fit on the end of the valve? Don't forget you are dealing with a axifient under very high pressure so if you make a mistake you only have a few seconds to get out of the room! (I service CO2 room purge systems at work!)

Just point the extinguisher at the weld with your free hand really though, I'd just make friends with a pub landlord!

so this would not work?i take it 5/8 is the reg outlet size then?******, i ordeded these last night!

yeah it's probarbly better as it has actual compression nuts instead of a "long nut" if you like

the co2 bottle and the argon regulater will both be 5/8" BSP almost deffinately
