CNC plasmabed repairs

Hi all. Just throwing this out there at the min and if get any feedback will go into more detail.

My boss bought a plasmabed. £3000. And all its done since being delivered is sit there as we can't get it to do anything.

We've had an electrician in to look at the wiring and he says it should work but we can't find anyone who specialises in this sort of thing and so are kinda head scratching.

Any advice?

I think you may need to post more information initially, as in what make, what controller, does the X,Y and Z axis move, does the machine have stock shapes built in, have you in-putted Gcode, what plasma cutter does it use etc.

Was it new, second-hand, that sort of thing.

For £3000 I guess it could be second hand, in which case was it seen working?

You may have to pay out to get the manufacturer (or their UK rep if it's foriegn) involved initially to get it working

Look for a sparky that specialises in industrial maintenance

I've built, and now use, my own plasma CNC machine. Do you know what software the machine uses? As other people have asked .....does it switch on..do you get a display on the monitor? I'm not that far away and could possibly come and take a look but would need more info.
