I think the whole clock changing is all to cock. If anything needs doing is leave winter time as BST and then move the clocks forward another hour in summertime. By moving the times there would be more daylight on an evening, where it needs to be not 4o'clock in the morning.

Got up at 08.30, put clock back an hour and went back to bed till 08.30. I don't like it going dark early, it throws me out completely.
