That's this weekend then. I thought it might be but I've not turned on the telly yet - I'm normally alerted by the clock on the computer which is cleverer than me.
Wonderful - no more hail storms, an extra hour of lie in, and longer evenings. Perfect.

My sleep tends to be disrupted by annoying birds and light. Extra hour of sleep then once I'm used to it. But I have been 2 hours late for things in the past at this time of year.

Spring forward, Fall (autumn!) back.
I do my clocks just after lunch which means I stay in bed and get my tea an hour early!

Clocks went BACK here in the wee hours. Probably for the last time.
apparently the original proposition was for the clocks to go forward 20 minutes for 4 consecutive wekends in April
How much of a nightmare would that of been?

You think thats a stupid idea, there is now talk of changing to GMT +1 & +2

Why can't we stop trying to push the sun around (its bigger than us), how about changing the time work starts. Instead of 9-5 have 8-4,
Perhaps we should spread working times wider, (as it would dramatically reduce the peak energy requirements), it could work like this -
Horrid dirty blue collar workers, (welders, car mechanics, construction workers etc) could creep out of their hovels under cover of darkness to their place of toil, the superior office managers & exclusive executives + their support staff could have less contact with "workers", retail is open 24hrs anyway & the political & banking class would do what they've always done, what they like when they like.
Or is it to radical an idea, would it bring the country to the brink of financial ruin, close factories, send jobs abroad, cause strikes, turn MPs & bankers into thieves & vagabonds, create an under-class of Chavs ?
Never in this fair country, we're British.
