well after the accident blowing sand over the lathe decided to strip and paint the oily rusty cabinet just suspended the lathe of the cabinet with straps from the roof purlins and pulled the cabinet out took it in field and shotblasted it . painted the tray with tractol grey paint and the cabinet with hammerite . washed the lathe down wiped clean and give it all a coat of duck oil and another wipe down . then slid the tray and cabinet back under and bolted it down. then fitted 2 new drive belts the chucks and faceplate were manky so bead blasted them , now as good as new just the gearbox and drive belt cover to re spray and all up and running again
