Clean Width Control

This AC/DC TIG has a "Clean Width" control. What does it do?

I'm just curious, I don't have the machine or the manual.

It would be an odd name for AC frequency but I suppose that is a possibility.

I reckon it caps the amperage on the positive side of the arc

Come Easter, I would know what to do with a chocolate - anything really.

It is the lettering on it that gives it away...

Yep, the cheap labelling, cheap switches and knobs, cheap torch switch connection etc

I had a Chinese tig with the same setting, it was basically AC balance on mine. On yours I'd imagine it just limits the positive side of the wave to control the etching area

That is the consensus, just a bit unclear, but I'm sure the manual gave detailed information. ;-)
