Hi RWD3M,Sporting the same aftermarket indicators as my Morris!
Is this picture current? I wondered how far from completion the car is.
The Case is a 1987 480E Loader/Backhoe, 4-wheel drive, 14-foot backhoe model, which I've had for about 12 years. It's in good shape...low hours and no welded cracks anywhere. Pins are still quite snug. Apparently it's been lubed well and never been abused. I plan to touch up the paint on it this summer. I suppose that due to its age it's almost becoming a classic of sorts, to join my 1954 M37 and 1953 Ford NAA (Jubilee year) tractor. The Case looks very tidy, what year is that?
That means my Volvo V40 T4 is a modern Classic at 20, my Nissan Terrano 23 and '95 Speed Triple positively ancient!Modern classics 15 or 20 years old.
Classic 35 years old.
These are the generally accepted criteria unless something very rare or exotic.
I went to look at a couple of E-plated cars while I was still running mine - one was parked for ages on Nantwich Morrisons (or maybe it was Safeway at the time) until it moved to behind the fire station in Winsford, and another at "Classy Chassis" in the Potteries. Didn't buy either. Is the 800 figure for E-reg cars, or for all of them?
Is yours like mine behind the plastic sill covers?

As I’ve restored the Hornet I’ve tried to incorporate modern features (which don’t show, so as not to deviate from originality) to make it more drivable & safer under today’s modern driving conditions. The car originally had leather oil seals on the back axle which allowed oil to seep onto the brake shoes (not good) these have now replaced with modern spring loaded seals. The headlights have much brighter Halogen bulbs & the engine has a modern spin off oil filter mod. As you noticed the car is also sporting after market indicators but the sidelights also have dual sidelight/indicator bulbs(repeaters?)
