Frighteningly I am licensed to ride one of those. I declined a 'go' on No 2 son's big BMW, a colleagues vast 1300 Kawasaki and many other big bruisers.
I know the unreformed hooligan in me could not resist 'seeing what it can do'. I also know this unreformed hooligan no longer has the eyesight, strength or reflexes to manage one of these brutes at the speeds they can do.
The Honda CX500 I gave up on 30 years ago was quite enough for my limited capabilities.

Well done. have fun choosing your next step in terms of bike and enjoy! I “did my apprenticeship“ on a YB100, then an old 175 trail bike, then a series of Jap sports bikes - 250, 400 and 600. The 400 felt fast (and it was) but the 600 was something else. Then I got old, had a BMW 1200 for a few years and then gave it all up. you’ve got me reminiscing sorry for thread jack!

Congratulations.
I doubt I’d have the patience to jump through all the hoops if I had to do it from scratch at my age.
Which set me thinking, what am I actually classed to drive? I’ve had about five new licenses over the years, and hope nothing disappeared from it in the process.

Congratulations on the bike test pass. makes me feel very old now!! Its sixty years since I passed mine on a 500 Matchless G80CS, Tests cost a £1-00 in those days.

Well done! I'm a mere pup then, only having had mine for 30 years. Never ridden bigger than a 500 on the road, probably as powerful / fast as I'd ever need although I do have an itch for a BMW boxer. Got a spin on a racing 600 Yamaha on an airstrip of all places, waaaaaay too scary!
No decisions to make as such - I have a Yamaha xj650 maxim, 1982, slightly modified. An xj650 Seca, 1984 in rough but original condition. An xj900 "bitsa", 1987 ish which I'm revamping with modern tyres and brakes, to look like the Seca 650. The 650 maxim rides nice, the others can wait...
The trike I have is a full irs Vmax full power - it's quick for a trike - I have a spare engine - who knows, if a bike version with a duff engine came allong...
Agricultural classification I think , they even sound like they run on diesel.

I passed my test in 1975 but only ever rode trials bikes on the road, a few years ago I bought a Kawasaki W800, did 700 miles on it and then gave it to my son - I’m too much of a wimp for serious road riding; I stick to trail / enduro bikes now.
friend of mine has a Seca ,, he likes it .
Mind you he has a Viagra too ,,, [sorry , of course that should read Virago.]
