hi everyone iwas looking to purchase the clarke 160tm mig was just wondering if anyone had used this before if so is it any good and what thickness does it really weld up to and what type of generator would be best suited to run it cheers

migs ok
running it with a jenny at a guess at least 8KVA in other words a bl--dy big genny or you will kill the welder on a small one and blow the board
im sure others will be along to verify this

heres the manual for it it's only 150 amp draws 4.2 KVA at 130 amps so jenny of 8.5 KVA needs a 16amp socket if you are using it's top end power
off mains you would get away with 13amp house plug but only on 100a or less

not sure if this applies to mig welders but with arc welders there is generator friendly

im guessing it means there is less fluctuation which is kinder on the generator

just a thought if you want to run it on a genny
