Hi All

I know this is quite an old welder now but I need some parts information. I need the push fitting that the wire feed tube pushes into at the torch end as mine has fallen apart. I would also consider a new torch but all I can find are "euro" fit torches which are not suitable for my welder. What type of torch should I be looking for and where is the best place to buy one.

Hi chris. you get get a euro connector to fit to your machine. It would require a bit of modifying but your model of machine has been converted before. You may require a solenoid to switch the gas on and off with the trigger if the original torch has a mechanical valve in the handle. The parts are listed on ebayer at a reasonable price and both the mig euro connector and solenoid come with fitting and wiring instructions. It makes a very good modification and enables you to fit a longer euro type torch to the machine.

Thanks for the advice but as far as I can see that would be quite expensive to convert. I have had a look on ebay and it looks like the parts I need are below :-

Solenoid £23
euro converter kit £37
Torch £40+

If this is what it takes than I will do it but I was just looking to replace the faulty parts if possible

Send a PM to weldequp on this forum - he's quite good for little bits and pieces like that. If the liner hasn't been replaced recently go for a torch service kit while you are in there. Worst comes to the worst a whole new torch is still available (I had one the same, and my old torch had been shortened following various incidents).

Can't see any benefit in going for a euro torch on one of those - can be serviced and repaired for much less money.

Hi Chris. Try Tecarc. They do the euro connector for £29.00, torch for £32.00, and solenoid for £20.00. They even supply full fitting instructions and wiring diagram.
