Clarke pro tools

Hi guys I'm in the market for some af sockets and spanners. Most my stuff is Teng and Halfords pro.

I was looking at a site and the Clarke pro stuff seems to have a lifetime warranty and is very reasonably priced. Anyone use their pro stuff and is it any use.

The tools are for a classic car I bought and shouldn't be in regular use(or as much as the metric).

yeah I've bought some of their imperial sockets but havn't really used them in anger yet. I do prefer the use of 6 sided sockets rather than 12 sided ones, which is why I got the clarke pro ones ( and i had a vat free ticket)

Does the quality seem good. Might buy some of them worth a shot for the money.

I seen they do multifit sockets , but the dont list af on the multi fit sockets.

you will only know if they are any good if they split or chew up bolt heads, but this what they look like, these are 9/16" and 3/4" long sockets with 1/2" drive

Walls look thin for 1/2"

I've used a lot of the Clarke pro stuff over the years, never broken a thing. I'm not saying its snap on quality, but it's certainly well up to the job in my opinion.....

I can get 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" socket rails and a couple deep sockets for the price of the Teng 1/2" rail.

Reckon it's got to be worth a punt, gonna order them in next day or two and take my chances. As I said it's just for the old timer won't be using them everyday.

I was looking at the clarke pro stuff a while back, but it seemed to me that, for example, not all the sizes were availible in certain spanner sets (i mean you couldnt even buy them individually)

...which put me right off.

Just been to Lamberts ind. supply, Sealey tools had a display and we're handing out catalogues, there hand tools have a lifetime warranty now, and the catalogue has no end of stuff in it, prices aren't bad ether.
I have one or two Sealey spanners and they are pretty good.

The Clarke kit always looked a bit cheap and Kamasa like to me, perhaps it's improved.

I have never been a fan of Clarke ratchets. I somehow managed to break three between Feb 2014 and Aug 2014.

My Halfords pro ratchets have never had an issue.

You may be happier if you can just stretch a little more to Carolus. Never seen anything of theirs that you would be disappointed in at the price point. Surprisingly quiet a few bits they make are made in Germany.
