I used a Plasma cutter in a bodyshop once so decided to add one to my tool store. Just bought a secondhand clarke machine off ebay as it seemed pretty cheap.
I got real lucky with it. It said in the listing it only worked on the lower setting but I thought well as I'm only going to be cutting thin stuff it'll do me.
When it arrived I tested it and it did indeed work fine but only on the low setting. I thought I would take the covers off and have a look inside although I'm no electronics wizard
Inside was a large female spade terminal floating around in thin air near to a male spade terminal so I thought mmm and connected it.
And it worked on both settings
what a simple fix and a result. An ebay bargain
I must admit I don't use it much but it's nice to have one.
