clarke parts?

hey guys i have a clarke 190EN but i cant find any information on the internet for it, the wirefeed motor sounds like its struggling with my 11lb spool, and i heard the craftsman and clarke parts are interchangable.
will a craftsman wirefeed bolt on my clarke? or can i just buy a new motor at a hobby shop?

The wire feed does sound like it is struggling. My 130 had 11lb rolls and a 12' torch. It worked fine but considerable gear noise.

Too much roller tension will make it harder on the feeder.

Check the reel moves freely. I found the label on the reel caused lots of drag. I pu a bit of lithium grease on the hub and it helped considerably.

I doubt you could find a hobby shop motor that would fit. It would need to be 12v.

yeah i had the same problem, but it still sounds like its struggling, my buddy bought a hobart welder and the motor in it sounds really strong, whereas mine sounds as if it just doesnt have enough balls to move the spool.

is there a USA site for clarke parts?

Clarke USA went chapter 11. I don't know of any distributers.

An new one from Clarke would be near the same. Maybe look for a better feeder on ebay.
