Hi,
I just bought one of these for £85 from Machine Mart in their VAT-free invite only sale.
Yesterday I unpacked it and spun her up to hear it run.
Its very rattly and harsh sounding - it sounds like its chewing itself up, like the blade is catching. It feels unbalanced and there is some vibration.
So nothing is catching and all *seemed* OK - however, can someone confirm that these are meant to sound so terrible? I imagined it should sound smooth since all it was doing was spinning the disc - I wasnt trying to cut anything. Just turning on and off to hear it run.
There is a few degees of slack / play between the disc and motor I noticed, but nothing to adjust. There must be a gearbox in-between the two...
This is brand new - but sounds like a bucket of nails rattling when it spins up.
Jules
