It's a Britool. They sell Record vices too.
There is a record available at a similar price to the the one shown in that pic.
They have various series of vices available. The full, heavy duty, QR engineers vices are eye wateringly expensive though, an 8" Irwin is just under a thousand !! Even for the obvious high quality they are, I don't personally understand why they are THAT expensive !
The Britool will be Chinese import.

A Record T112 with quick release is in the region of £550 to £750 new depending where you buy it from. You can buy an Irwin that looks a lot like it for about £350. When you say Clarke do you mean the manufacturer ? I have heard nothing about Machine Mart having problems.

Exactly my point. You can beat the living daylights for the next 30yrs out of a Record Engineers Vice. After using a scaffold pole to tighten the vice.
That's why they are so expensive. But the resale 2nd value is a fraction of the purchase price, hence the bewilderment as the cost of a new one
All true ! I recall an occasion we were trying to loosen a 4" BSP stainless steel hose coupling that had gall seized. It was mounted in our workshop Record 6" QR vice and we had a 36" Ridgid pipe wrench on it, aided by a 3 mtr length of HD pipe !! The pipe wrench bent but the coupling do loosen, eventually, the Record wasn't bovered !!

i've got a record no 25 6" vice, it's a great vice, i got it for £100 used, new they are about £350 so not too bad 
weighs about 40kg haha 
before that one i had a little record, well still have it, never really use it though, but thats a bit worn out a lot of up and down play in the jaws..

I'll get a pic tomorrow but it's all heavy welded steel construction, 6" jaws, has a plate rivetted to the side with "Record Leader steel vice No.14PB", top of the front jaw has RECORD No14PB stamped on it.
It was Record blue but I cleaned it up about 15 years ago and re-painted it not-quite-Record blue. And it's massively heavy.

Clarke International Ltd (the UK Clarke) and Machine Mart Ltd are different companies.
According to a business information website I had a look at, the two directors of Clarke International Ltd. are also directors of Machine Mart Ltd.
Also both companies seem to be doing nicely thank you.
The Clarke mentioned in the OP is not Clarke International Ltd. so we can all sleep at night in the knowledge that the cheap and cheerful supply of engineering toys will still be available for the foreseeable future.
(That's probably the Kiss of Death!)

very very lucky...going rate for a decent 25 with unbroken jaws is at least a ton and then they sell all day long at that
