Hi. I am wondering if anybody can help. I have a Clarke AT131 that has the R43 resistor on the pcb board faulty.
Can anyboby tell me its ohmic value and wattage.
Martin.
Was that resistor physically damaged and broken, or did it fail in that way during use or at power-on?
I suspect that it may be part of the soft-start circuit, which reduces the initial current surge into the empty smoothing capacitors by a resistor or thermistor, which is then bypassed by a relay after a short delay. You could trace the PCB tracks to check if this broken resistor connects to the nearby blue relay.
If so, a failure in the input circuitry here usually means that there is a short-circuit in one or more of the power transistors ( MOSFETs or IGBTs ) in the later power-switching section of the inverter.
