Been offered a Clarke 210TE for cheap which would be my first welder (just completed a course at a local college) - what are peoples thoughts on the 210TE? I presume it cant do TIG .. but would it suit a beginner practising MMA?
I had wondered about getting a s/h Oxford (seem available for about £150) as they seem tank-like and I like that they are made here. One project will involve welding some thinner sheet material (stainless down to 1mm) and am wondering what tool would offer the most control and be the most "forgiving" for someone new to welding. For thin metal, I am wondering which welders are most "stable" or "controllable" (if that is the right phrase) at lower amperages than others
Thankyou for any advice.
Cheers
